Kathleen Nevins
Kathleen M. Nevins was born in Hartford, Connecticut, and has remained a life-long resident of the state. Attorney Nevins earned her undergraduate degree from the University of Connecticut where she graduated magna cum laude. As an undergraduate Kathleen served as an intern for the Connecticut Office of Adult Probation and celebrated her Irish heritage by pursuing foreign studies at Saint Patrick's College, in Kildare, Ireland.
Attorney Nevins went on to earn her Juris Doctorate from the University of Connecticut, School of Law. While attending UConn, Kathleen became a member of Phi Delta Phi and served as a charter member of the Connecticut Insurance Law Journal.
Attorney Nevins was admitted to practice law in the state of Connecticut in 1996, and in the U.S. District Court, District of Connecticut, in 1998. She is a member of the Connecticut Bar Association (presently, Family Law, Workers' Compensation, Small and Solo Firm Sections), and the Hartford County Bar Association. Prior to forming Nevins Law Group LLC (which was formerly named Nevins & Nevins LLP) Kathleen worked for several years as an associate with a Hartford-based firm, handling litigation in insurance defense, including medical malpractice, personal injury, and workers' compensation, along with business counseling.
Throughout her professional career, Kathleen has been committed to serving her community and continues to volunteer her time for several organizations that she holds dear to her heart. Kathleen also enjoys sharing her knowledge and experience with the next generation of lawyers and frequently delivers guest lectures and seminars at various locations throughout New England.
For the last 26+ years Attorney Nevins has practiced law in the state of Connecticut across a wide range of areas supporting individuals and businesses with their legal needs. To her family and friends, Kathleen is known for her warm and welcoming nature. To her peers and colleagues, she is revered for her exceptional breadth and depth of knowledge in the field.
